Ain Wazein Medical Village
is a private, non-profit organization located in the region of Shouf, Mount Lebanon, at 40 km from Beirut and 45 km from Saida. The hospital serves people far beyond the geographical boundaries of the Shouf region. Its services extend to the regions of Aley, Metn, Iklim, Jezzine, Rashaya, Hasbaya and the Beqaa valley, thus providing access to medical care to about 500,000 people.About 130 physicians of all specialties from the senior health-care team, along with 143 nurses and a total of 400 employees are there to serve the needs and deliver the best quality of care to our patients
In addition, Ain wazein Medical Village has been twinned to the "Centre Hospitalier de Versailles" since 1992 and has agreements of cooperation with the "Assistance Publique-Hôpitaux de Paris", the "Centre Hospitalier d′Aix-En-Provence" and the "Broca Hospital" mainly for personnel training in France. Health care experts from these centers visit our hospital on a regular basis. A cooperation with Laval University in Canada is part and parcel of the training its first year medicine students as of July 2003.
Nationally,Ain Wazein Medical Village has a convention agreement with Hôtel-Dieu de France and cooperation with the Family Medicine Department and the Internal Medicine Department of American University of Beirut-Medical Center, for training medical students, interns and residents. Furthermore, the Lebanese University has a branch of the Faculty of Public Health (BS in nursing) at the hospital campus since 1993.
